The Letter

Dear Meg,

Thank you very much for the letter! We have not seen or talked for a very long time, so it was very interesting to read about your hobbies and about your favourite film. I thought that you might be interested to know about my film experience.
Recently, my mother and I decided to watch a film on our computer. This film is called "The Holiday." We were advised mother's friend. It is comedy, which tells about two very different girls. One girl named Iris Simpkins (played by Kate Winslet) author of the popular wedding column in the London magazine, lives in a charming cottage in the British province. She is in love with a man who loves another woman. In Southern California Amanda Woods lives (played by Cameron Diaz), who is the owner of a thriving advertising agency in charge of creating commercials for the movie. She discovers that her boyfriend betrayed her. And one day they found on the Internet site for the exchange houses for the holidays. Before Christmas, Iris and Amanda decided to take a break from their problems by agreeing to swap continents on two weeks. Iris moved into Amanda's house in sunny California, and Amanda arrived in a cold and snowy British province, which was not so beautiful as in the photographs on the Internet. But this did not prevent them finally find their feminine happiness.

This film very funny, kind and interesting. It tells about the birth of sincere feelings. By the way there are my favourite actresses. I and my mother liked it very much and we would like to see it again.

In case you have not seen the film but I really recommend that you go and see it.

I am looking forward to your reply.
All the best,
Dasha

Are E-mails better than ordinary calls?

E-mails have become very popular over the last few years, but many people are not sure if they are entirely good thing.
On the one hand, text messages are both faster and cheaper to send because they are shorter. You can also leave messages for people if they can't answer their phone immediately, and this is very important in today's busy world. Also a lot of people dislike speaking on the phone, especially shy people. They often feel uncomfortable and can't think of anything to say. E-mails are easier to use because you have time to plan exactly what you want to say. You can also think of the best way to say it.
On the other hand, feelings are very important in communication. When you speak to someone, you can hear how that person feels. You can also guess if they are telling the truth or not. It's very difficult to understand a person's real emotions in a text message.
In conclusion, text messages are useful for short and simple information, but ordinary phones are better for real communication.

My grandmother's childhood.

My grandmother Mary was born in 1942 in the Republic Belarus. At that time was the Great Patriotic War. And this area was occupied by germans. She was the fifth child in the family.

I think that my grandmother's childhood was difficult due to the fact that even the bread was not enough. But my grandmother never did complain. When my grandmother turned 5 years old her father came from the war. He went to Berlin and there, in the Reichstag, he signed. And then her life had improved slightly. My grandmother was admitted to the first class in 1950. School years, she remembers with great joy. The most important and favorite memories – are the teachers. She remembers with great love for them. Times were hard, was not enough clothing, shoes, food, and their teachers are always fed. And she had to share clothes and shoes with her younger sisters. Nevertheless, my grandmother studied only in "excellent" and was very active girl. In childhood grandmother had often malnourished. She and her friends used to gather spikelets rye, tied them into bundles and baked at the bonfire. They used to gather in spring on potato fields rotten potatoes. Most were without shoes, because they were stuck in the mud. But only for that rotten baked potatoes . They were so delicious that even now my grandmother would not refuse them. I think that it's not that they were tasty, but because it is the smell of my grandmother's childhood. In her spare time from school my grandmother loved reading the books. Although there was no electricity grandmother read by kerosene lamp. The parents she was not allowed to linger for a long time because of the cost of kerosene. But my grandmother had a very expensive gift from her father, who brought back from the war, from Germany - a flashlight. Then she used to climb on the Russian stove, and there continued to read.

Ilive in the 21 century . And now my life is drastically different from the life of my grandmother. I looked at my grandmother - funny, always upbeat, happy, and I think, and could I overcome these difficulties that befell my grandmother? I do not know ...

My favourite band

My favourite band at the moment is the Black Eyed Peas। It is a Grammy Award winning hip hop group that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1995. The group is composed of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Will.I.Am and vocalists Apl.De.Ap, Taboo, and Fergie.
In 1995, former Atban Klann members Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap, with new member Taboo formed The Black Eyed Peas and signed to Interscope Records. Kim Hill was also a member, however for unknown reasons she did not appear on album art or single art. She was featured on most of their songs on their debut album, 1998's, "Behind the Front". It became somewhat successful, however the peas became interested in a more dance style, and Hill left the group in 2000.
"The E.N.D.," the group's fifth studio album and the third since the singer Stacy Ferguson (better known as Fergie) joined and took it from the earnest hip-hop underground to the glamorous, necessarily compromised pop mainstream, is more accomplished and more confounding than any of the foursome's previous efforts. The album has really good tracks on it. My favourite is Meet Me Halfway.
The Black Eyed Peas had begun work on their next studio album.

Dear Mr. Handley,

I heard a lot about your courses and about yourself. I would really like to go in your Action Academy and to overcome my fears.

I'm fourteen years old, I live in Estonia and I study at the Tallinn Gymnasium. Addition, I play music, learning languages and engage in ballroom dancing. In my life I have never tried to do something extreme, but I really want to try myself in this area.

I would like to go in the summer because in the summer I have a vacation and I have a lot of free time. Do you have summer classes? And what program do you have for newcomers to this area and whether the program is different for men and women? I hope that you can not make me jump from a cliff on the first day of my visit to you.I'll wait for your answer.

Your sicerely,

Darja Balina

What is a good friend in my opinion?

In friendship, I always appreciate honesty. A friend never will lie, whatever the truth was not! He will rejoice with you if you win something and if you are just lucky.A good friend might be someone who's there to provide support when times are tough, or someone you can rely on to celebrate a special moment with you. A real friend for me it is someone who makes you smile and someone who will cry when you cry. If you tell to your friend something in confidence, he will not talk about it to anyone else.
Friends might come and go in your life, they might make you laugh and cry, but most importantly of all they love you for who you are. It doesn't matter what a person looks like or what kind of clothes they wear, but it's what's on the inside that counts. I am happy that I have a friend whom I can trust.
